The NAHAP 2026 Voter Guide Goes Live

Back in July, we told you NAHAP was putting hunger on the ballot this midterm election season. With just weeks left before Election Day, that time has arrived.

The Northern Arizona Hunger Action Partnership just published the 2026 Food Policy Voter Guide. Starting this summer, NAHAP asked the candidates in the:

how they would work to overcome the challenges unique to Northern Arizona that make food insecurity and hunger so prevalent in this part of the state.

We developed the questions with NAHAP coalition members, including farmers, food bank professionals, and community members, to reflect food access and food system priorities across our region. All candidates were invited to participate and candidates running for the same office received identical questions, the same word limit, and the same response deadline.

NAHAP does not endorse or oppose candidates, and participation in this guide does not constitute an endorsement or a preference. Rather, we hope this educational resource provides valuable insight into these issues and empowers you to make informed decisions at the ballot box this November. We gave all candidates an equal amount of time to respond and an equal amount of space. We also asked candidates running for the same office the same questions.

We also noted those who declined to respond.

The Voter Guide lives at our website, NAHAP.org. We are also distributing it across Northern Arizona gatherings like the Western Navajo Fair, the Flagstaff Mountain Town Market, the Flagstaff Community Market, tribal chapter houses, churches, fall festivals and many other locations across the region.
